Album 3, ‘Snap!’ was completed and the singles scheduled before Holly died, and is the reason we have been able to release music during 2024, as I have been unable to play a note since. The album is the first combination of songs that feature lyrics from both me and Neil. Neil sent me over demos of his songs and allowed me the freedom to take them wherever they took me, which resulted in some rockier tracks than normal. I hope you enjoy where we were heading.

A short outline of each track below:-

Neil sent me some acoustic guitar demos of his songs and invited me to take them where I wanted. I decided to build from a basic drum loop using just electric guitar and electric bass and see where that lead me. These are the results of some of those, starting with Bridges

Another ‘take it where you want’. As well as the electric guitar and electric bass I had fun with percussion and also got some great input from Holly Alice, especially on how to make the trumpet sound a bit like a trumpet. The plan was for her to add real trumpet before release.

A real banger of a song from Neil that I had great fun in taking to where it finished up.

Written from memories of some of my childhood experiences and the fraught relationship between my Mother and Father, and the mental health issues my Mother faced, which only eased when my Father was killed when I was fourteen.

A tough one to nail. I couldn’t take it in the same direction as the others, the demo wouldn’t allow it, so went for more of a groove.

Another track that stayed in the same place that the demo wanted it go. Simple tune with lyrics leading the way.

The last track that Holly and me worked on together, just a month before I lost her. I miss her so much, and this is why I have decided to release everything we have recorded, now. I just don’t have anything left in me.
